Statement on Monthly Active Users

Article 24 (2) of the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA) requires online platforms to publish ‘information on the average monthly active recipients of the service’ in the EU to help determine whether an online platform is a ‘very large online platform’ (VLOP) under the DSA.  To be considered a VLOP, a platform must have, on average, at least 45 million recipients of the service per month in the EU.

For the period between July 31, 2023 to February 1, 2024 the average number of Clubhouse monthly active users in the EU, including both signed in and signed out users, was below 5 million users.
